Drugs took over at Justin Bieber’s house, friend arrested : worldleaks
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials said the drugs seized as confidences served a search warrant at Justin Bieber‘s Calabasas home may not be cocaine as they originally stated.
“You have to examine any evidence to see what comes forward,” spokesman Steve Whitmore said. “It may not be that particular narcotic.”
What’s more likely, Whitmore said, is that the substance is ecstasy or Molly, a synthetic stimulant marketed as a pure form of MDMA, the main ingredient in ecstasy.
“Let’s just wait and see, but we’re fairly certain it’s a assured substance,” Whitmore said. Detectives seized the drugs and arrested one of Bieber‘s associates Tuesday morning after the “Boyfriend” singer was accused of pelting his neighbor’s home with eggs in an incident on Jan. 9. They said the drugs were found “in plain view.”
L.A. County sheriff’s investigators did not directly identify who was arrested but said it was not Bieber.
Bieber “has not been arrested nor has he been cleared,” Sheriff’s Lt. David Thompson said at a news conference following the search.
“We were looking at things that would put him or anything else at the scene,” Thompson added.
The egging incident marks the latest clash between the pop star and his neighbors, who have charged him of throwing loud parties and speeding through the neighborhood.
The neighbor called authorities last week, saying someone was pelting his home with eggs, said sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Nagelmann of the Malibu/Lost Hills station.
The neighbor was home with his daughter at the time, Nagelmann said, adding that deputies who went to the scene found no one outside.
Whitmore said the egging incident was found to be a felony because of the several thousands of dollars worth of damage that occurred.
Bieber has been at the center of a number of controversies that have caused friction with his neighbors in the wealthy, gated community where he lives.
In a grainy video posted on TMZ that purportedly documents the incident, a man standing in the doorway of a home exchanges oaths with a voice outside before telling someone in the house to call authorities.
“I got another one for you, actually,” the person outside yells back in the video, before apparently hitting the house with more eggs.
Sheriff’s deputies said video footage and photos had been submitted as evidence.
Nagelmann said the neighbor told deputies he had seen Bieber throwing the eggs. The crime in the initial police report is listed as misdemeanor vandalism, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities said it was unknown what motivated the egging.
